Lord, . C7 G9 Q+ W6 L! H& `$ r$ o
having transformed" O8 M0 Y7 u+ t0 ? j
sunshine and soil and water and seed,
; U, E: a7 B. c, `0 d9 l0 y5 `1 Vinto food upon which we are soon to feed,
. k/ I' p! a6 k. y: ~we thank you for life and we want to stay well,
8 G! d9 @0 g i9 l- p% {! tso we promise to rub our hands with Purell.
, x+ r5 I+ B9 O/ c" P) jWe who came first and are ready to dine
4 Y6 Z, F4 d/ u4 }) j( Pthank you that we’re not still waiting in line,
8 N5 d/ n; [! G1 |. L a. cbut for those who are hungry and eagerly wait,
. e3 Q* L+ S! h; wwe shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.9 v0 ~/ v. l" Z) E1 N
Instead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others " I9 b! \& {. G- b9 }
the way we were taught by our own loving mothers.1 @; q* {, B" ]* u- g, j
Now,; I. B% }: f, z( ~" D
We smell the potatoes all spicy and roasted , O5 V/ ~' [, }: w
the aroma of casseroles perfectly toasted
* L, @$ e. s* D oWe thank you for people so generous and kind
. o) g* _. A# p' Jand thanks for all blessings in body and mind,
