Lord, + \, Y. l& T& H/ h7 _
having transformed, W N7 \2 S' d1 c* Y. L7 {$ z2 O+ p
sunshine and soil and water and seed,8 G# o1 x1 }. f1 ~5 n% ^
into food upon which we are soon to feed, 5 [" g7 B1 {9 U" D9 w; h+ i
we thank you for life and we want to stay well, # d6 y( V- z& M% y
so we promise to rub our hands with Purell.
% |7 t6 [1 t( A2 _% w) g C8 YWe who came first and are ready to dine
! C( q& @' {: |thank you that we’re not still waiting in line, ! d; o/ Z& m9 N/ n1 [" H6 h8 z& ?
but for those who are hungry and eagerly wait,
2 H0 f! W" h7 f5 Z8 d1 Twe shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.
3 L; B, [0 F: D" E; I3 Z' ZInstead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others " {3 f# z1 D9 u9 o
the way we were taught by our own loving mothers.

We smell the potatoes all spicy and roasted 2 X/ [: k1 Y' i, a" M
the aroma of casseroles perfectly toasted 7 K7 C, T# P b, [

and thanks for all blessings in body and mind,4 C. b0 d+ s1 |9 `3 E8 L
