Footprints in the Sand
) H/ e5 G! Q9 J( ^# }$ l- R9 b! e3 B9 Y
One night I had a dream, [% I! V$ p( F  C3 m  V
I was walking along the beach with my Lord.. \& p; K7 g8 j) Z2 H1 s" y
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.8 l7 I+ l# K; ~, y. F/ h/ a$ o; l
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
5 ~5 }% n  T) U# a/ kone belonging to me
: N* R, ]0 f/ {+ }) uand the other to my Lord./ a! i, t  [; G& x+ P. Y9 ?8 C& V; K
When the last scene of my life shot before me
3 C( @5 V% N: jI looked back at the footprints in the sand.
$ q- e4 I  r1 D5 Q) m( i, RThere was only on set of footprints.
4 Z7 m, m* a4 H8 K+ j5 i. G/ xI realized that this was at the lowest
3 o7 K# ~; g9 ]0 A" Gand saddest times in my life.
$ {- R7 Z$ E; H. J! xThis always bothered me 9 @; r! c6 H$ F, E0 n
and I questioned the Lord
" V+ g# ~8 H  r& c& Gabout my dilemma.
! `7 c9 d: Z5 N# D"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,- m- q* u1 `1 |. x6 Q
You would walk and talk with me all the way.
; {% j6 S# G6 R# lBut I'm aware that during the most troublesome 0 x2 u$ [; ^2 }9 M: A" J2 ?
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.
' g% {) Q$ w5 \- G; j; H  CI don't understand why, when I needed You most,
) Z& o: n# m, Q9 }: l1 P& _you leave me."
  G/ e. v% n& J0 Z1 yHe whispered,  "My precious, precious child,
7 C# E( P; g5 j; mI love you and will never leave you  m+ S, N( b' N  B' G* V
never, ever during your times of trial and testings.
7 E! o7 c% b9 z/ `When you saw only one set of footprints
