Footprints in the Sand' y/ ~3 y5 G Y* l
% T+ S6 H: l+ E# ]$ |One night I had a dream9 O$ g7 A2 G* f; N4 h2 Z2 }8 b3 d' d: a
I was walking along the beach with my Lord. ( H) u, h4 g& {3 {Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.+ h) H3 @- Y' E- k/ @, Z
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,% ?2 o1 t% g% p/ V. d$ b
one belonging to me! N2 ]. z- r# P% y% B
and the other to my Lord.( {; l8 X, o+ H( Q V7 j0 [9 w
When the last scene of my life shot before me 5 R4 |! F7 x- c- G2 I0 cI looked back at the footprints in the sand.- D* R, Z7 V4 k& Y# \' E6 T+ ^: D
There was only on set of footprints." R, t7 v) j6 \2 z. o
I realized that this was at the lowest 7 W8 J; ~1 v. j1 Zand saddest times in my life.. n* X* T. A* l$ U7 _ H
This always bothered me * V0 C, j" \' H# R1 ?) tand I questioned the Lord) @, W+ U7 C% \9 X( V
about my dilemma.- {7 X" e# x6 g- s$ E" M7 `
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,# v0 h+ u1 o @0 m+ ]- i
You would walk and talk with me all the way.! F+ k2 T; E- V) q$ Q
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome - T7 Q1 E3 L) N [$ Dtimes of my life there is only one set of footprints. % O3 o. \* [" [. S# Z2 J7 |9 Q A9 _I don't understand why, when I needed You most, ) `+ f! h' \& y+ B) Y7 c( ?9 u
you leave me." & u& s- B* Z/ [+ W# U$ NHe whispered, "My precious, precious child, / a# U+ r% q) u0 P2 M2 gI love you and will never leave you& X7 V' V* l/ d( l) s, ^# B
