I was walking along the beach with my Lord.; C' Y- V* l6 ]7 l
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life. # B1 A' s7 `2 b. ?5 M) QFor each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,& ~- _% d u B9 U" q% b4 F
one belonging to me7 A1 P& W% k/ O5 O$ n3 {; x- P
and the other to my Lord.; j$ b3 @0 N* t6 R& [; _
When the last scene of my life shot before me- I: Y; K9 u# t9 X. G' g* W' d
I looked back at the footprints in the sand. " e$ b% m5 R( F0 h+ {$ ]! HThere was only on set of footprints. 5 U6 v) F! D9 n8 hI realized that this was at the lowest ! a- k: H( j$ A: s, u* ^7 zand saddest times in my life.8 g6 r2 A+ t* T: w! g7 H
This always bothered me " D0 z! d! s% h% B8 U- jand I questioned the Lord " c0 N! T1 }/ {: Gabout my dilemma. / j: l/ v! u x! T+ c6 a+ ?# c"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,* J5 v" E+ \2 ^1 T: Y0 z
You would walk and talk with me all the way.4 g( T1 G4 i" u$ o
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome $ R* u6 Q8 l0 K/ v* b; s# h
times of my life there is only one set of footprints. ( y; N: o' h! K2 o8 L* aI don't understand why, when I needed You most, , C1 B# T9 ]0 S+ [% s& I+ J
