Footprints in the Sand, K* R- A9 F7 _  a( N

/ {- Z0 ^& Y0 ?+ ~5 U$ U+ q8 F% rOne night I had a dream9 ]/ P" q* p4 t/ s$ ?) ^
I was walking along the beach with my Lord.: N! X# l: c9 S6 ^3 @
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.% l' ~. r4 n  j: v0 S  ~0 t
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,, `/ I. `! N$ Z
one belonging to me5 {1 z( _4 L: I
and the other to my Lord.0 v- c% T& d7 H% B9 K9 t+ l6 _3 }
When the last scene of my life shot before me9 B0 @( M' N3 ~/ B0 H
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
: Z" B- v6 D7 W, Q0 u( k* L0 T; VThere was only on set of footprints.
# A4 }5 U7 [7 e; lI realized that this was at the lowest
9 ?: ]4 Y) I/ ?0 t% U8 `& q$ v" b, `$ W/ r9 kand saddest times in my life.
  V1 N; t2 e+ B  R( ^# ]" J+ S8 `6 GThis always bothered me
8 k( c6 O3 X( c7 Y% t3 Band I questioned the Lord+ F# f) l1 l+ i4 J! [* D
about my dilemma.
! e: U3 s( e+ e" ~" \. b"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,) d  I4 d" ]9 L& B9 k
You would walk and talk with me all the way.5 |) k6 V5 ?. W7 {5 T
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome ; H- ^6 `8 \0 X, @: k+ F
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.
, P7 @- f( k, N- c6 ]% x5 ZI don't understand why, when I needed You most, + j6 D) T  S5 h% s5 K
you leave me."
