Lord,
$ p8 A5 }( K8 |( ?" e. Xhaving transformed
$ v& G( e6 ]# _, Rsunshine and soil and water and seed,! a H/ R4 J& D6 p' U
into food upon which we are soon to feed,
4 K3 F! j4 Y( e3 Qwe thank you for life and we want to stay well,
* P. H* ^# D7 ^8 iso we promise to rub our hands with Purell.6 r4 h! e. t1 ]; `4 E9 @# n7 W+ E3 M
We who came first and are ready to dine
! n9 I) a4 A& u, E; P) c9 ]thank you that we’re not still waiting in line,
( Z1 H. N7 x3 p$ c% }. q. z! i% \' ybut for those who are hungry and eagerly wait, , w! r" J& d( p+ Z% H+ z
we shall not be greedy and heap up our plate./ F/ p( C" w# i/ u2 T: e
Instead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others 3 i9 }" V8 Y# d: G( x3 e
the way we were taught by our own loving mothers.% m% E% R3 @) X9 U+ i8 t: h

We smell the potatoes all spicy and roasted 5 n3 V3 N N% ~+ |9 c, Z
the aroma of casseroles perfectly toasted ) T8 X; d' ?6 X: m/ ? b
We thank you for people so generous and kind
