I was walking along the beach with my Lord.* M" J* V, L: q+ x" P
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
: E: N5 ^3 K* J7 ^For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
% J# @, ~+ T4 J" h* g0 _one belonging to me
9 d. F9 g' U' wand the other to my Lord.) `/ e; k! h) q4 o( _# }) B. ^
When the last scene of my life shot before me3 {1 q0 q2 j  P$ N
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.- |( _: u( t% r+ n+ U% G( I
There was only on set of footprints.
) [2 `3 ~+ k3 w& ~I realized that this was at the lowest
9 \* j4 i+ C; k; A+ ~and saddest times in my life.9 r! ]  l' _+ s7 {, H9 s4 ]
This always bothered me . d. Z  T3 p) w# U  X9 J; v
and I questioned the Lord
, D. Q! v/ D& N8 i+ e8 N( c& nabout my dilemma.
  r, J9 ~1 y. w+ r8 S  Q"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,) e9 V! ^2 i, E* F( {5 i% X# i9 m
You would walk and talk with me all the way.
+ j$ S$ X1 w: \" dBut I'm aware that during the most troublesome
+ @3 G" ?) N2 T, E& h/ Ttimes of my life there is only one set of footprints.
, Q) N/ f& ^; [# F2 }I don't understand why, when I needed You most, % c4 X3 x. H+ ^; b
you leave me."
! D# x& f3 W1 N" c# \4 q3 z4 VHe whispered,  "My precious, precious child,$ y- z9 x& C3 |1 s7 r8 t2 Q  E
I love you and will never leave you- P7 W9 q0 e! g& V
never, ever during your times of trial and testings.
