Lord, ( Y6 a; N6 M% H) w
having transformed
. \4 s) J8 k0 m) [sunshine and soil and water and seed,
. f+ S1 t. m: E2 P( vinto food upon which we are soon to feed, * A) [6 d0 [3 ?/ `9 s2 e
we thank you for life and we want to stay well, - l! e. {7 `. D9 F% Z7 J
so we promise to rub our hands with Purell.

thank you that we’re not still waiting in line, ) |3 H$ F& p$ y4 S3 [& N1 h' c4 h: f
but for those who are hungry and eagerly wait,
, T8 ?9 x8 d+ Zwe shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.
) P# Z) h3 H) {' B3 j0 iInstead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others
( b5 ]; k6 t ^1 C# Ithe way we were taught by our own loving mothers.

We smell the potatoes all spicy and roasted
; i4 l3 f5 \( `8 fthe aroma of casseroles perfectly toasted ; p6 q4 h! n' w$ O
We thank you for people so generous and kind3 i+ `( m, W7 ?: W: s1 C
and thanks for all blessings in body and mind,
